Fairy loot is a U.K. based bookish subscription box that I absolutely love. This box features a new release fantasy book with lots of bookish goodies that are linked to the monthly theme.

The theme for September was:

Take a second to take this in…. I had to.

These buttons were created specifically for Faiyloot and feature imaged based on A Darker Shade of Magic.

There were three candles created for this box: one for each of the factions in the Grisha series. I got Materialki and a pretty purple candle.

Just for a little luck, we got a Felix Felicis potion sticker from the Harry Potter series.

Next was this cute necklace with a little Russian doll charm.

A bonus item in the box was these Grisha themed postcards.

There was a Grisha print..

And a Grisha notebook.

We’re finally down to the book. Usually it is wrapped in purple tissue paper but this month we are getting a little draw string bag with the Fairyloot logo.

Another new item in this box was this little newsletter with an interview with the author and a quiz.

It’s finally time for the book. This month the featured book was Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter. This is a retelling of the tale “Vassalisa the Beautiful” from Russian Folklore.

There was also a book plate with the authors signature.

A handwritten note from the author.

A stunning bookmark featuring the book on it.

Theres this cute little flier that is actually some bookish swag promoting the book.

Now lets have a look at the spoilers card for this month. The imagery on this is just beautiful.
