Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

Taking the trope “What happens in Vegas” and mixing it with a Rock God romance is a recipe for awesome fun and an emotion filled read.

This is a New Adult romance with explicit scenes and language, please be aware of this before picking up this book. Now that that’s out of the way, this is truly an amazing start to a brand new New Adult series. The characters themselves were fleshed out and there was excellent character development. The story was told in Evelyn’s perspective and this led me to feel so many emotions towards this character. I loved that I could feel what she was feeling through the writing, when Evelyn was devastated and torn apart I could empathise with this and that is a compliment on Kylie’s writing style. David is the other main character who finds himself married to Evelyn after a whirlwind night in Vegas. Through the book David’s character becomes more fleshed out and he becomes a more 3D character that the reader can empathise with. The plot itself follows the skeleton of the New Adult genre but is filled with some an interesting look into an idea of the rock lifestyle.

What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas and isn’t that awesome?
