The Book Boyfriend Box is a bimonthly bookish subscription box based out of the U.S. The concept of the box is to appreciate those book boyfriends we have all developed through our time reading. This box has been running since October 2016 and this is the fourth box that has been sent out. Each box has a theme and the theme for April was:
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
When the box is first opened this is what I see inside.
Before I continue I had to quickly show off the quote on the side of the box.
The first item out of the box is a full sized Funko Pop Figurine of Belle in her yellow dress. This is a new release figurine from the new live action movie of Beauty and the Beast.
The second item I take out of the box is wrapped up.
It is a little sachet of eyeshadow from Printcess Mineral Makeup. The eyeshdow is called “Tale as Old as Time” and is exclusive to this box. I’m very interested to see how this will look and have never received eye shadow in a subscription box before.
The third item is a sachet of tea. This is Spring Court Tea inspired by A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. The tea was created by Wick and Fable.
The next item is a double sided bookmark featuring quotes from Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge. This bookmark was created by Fictional Fox.
The fifth and final bookish item in this box was a Beastly themed candle from Kool & Co. This candle smells so sweet and it is explained that the inspiration of this candle came from the concept of looking beyond skin deep to the heart within where true beauty lies.
Finally, the book this month was:
A letter from the author was also included in the box.
There is a spoiler card for the items in this box and this month the art on the card is a colouring in page:
The final item in the box was the spoiler card for the theme for June:
This was actually a really great box and really appropriate coming so soon after the release of the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast. There was a wide range of items in the box from a wide range of stores and even an item that I have never seen in a subscription box before. I am really keen to read this book as I am a big fan of retellings.
