A group of high-school students, who are infused with unique superpowers, harness their abilities in order to save the world.
This piece of nostalgia was a pleasure to watch. I loved watching a new take on a piece of childhood nostalgia. When the Power Rangers theme song came on I felt all that nostalgia race back.
The elements of diversity in the movie was a nice touch. An African American character, an Asian character, LGBTQIA+ representation and a character on the Autism spectrum make up the Power Rangers team. This element of diversity brought something extra to a movie based on a childhood TV Show.
The antagonists outfit reminded me of Poison Ivy and I couldn’t shake that through all of the scenes with her. The training and action scenes were well done and propelled the audience through the story. The plot itself wasn’t bad but it led to the action and the friendship between the main protagonists.
Overall, this was a great piece of nostalgia with included elements of diversity and reflected true friendship.
