TOP TEN TUESDAY

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week TTT is taking a week off for a break. Therefore I am going to choose a previous topic for me to complete. The topic this week is a free one focusing on covers. I have chosen to do something a little different:

COVERS WITH A STUNNING COLOUR SCHEME

LABYRINTH LOST BY ZORAIDA CORDOVA

LABYRINTH LOST

The combination of the different shades of purples on this cover really appeal to me. The palate on this cover is absolutely beautiful.

ALEX, APPROXIMATELY BY JENN BENNETT

ALEX APPROXIMATELT

The silver, blue and white colours on this cover really draw the eye. I love the contrast of the white paint spray on the blue background.

FRAGILE CHAOS BY AMBER R. DUELL

fragile

This one has more of a dark aesthetic. The contrast of gold on black is amazing.

ILLUMINAE BY AMIE KAUFMAN AND JAY KRISTOFF

Illuminae-Cover

The explosion of red, orange and yellow on the cover of this book is just a masterpiece.

OPERATION PROM DATE BY CINDI MADSEN

operation prom

This cover is more focused on the soft colours. With a baby pink ensemble in front of a baby blue background it is subtly pleasing.

THE FORBIDDEN WISH BY JESSICA KHOURY

forbidden-wish

I am a sucker for the colour purple. The combination of the dark background with a lighter purple foreground and yellow typography works for me.

FROGKISSER! BY GARTH NIX

frogkisser

This cover utilises four different colours and catches my eye. The primary green colour is extremely eye catching.

GEEKERELLA BY ASHLEY POSTON

geekerella

Another primarily purple cover. The images on the cover are just as great as the colour scheme chosen.

THE QUEEN OF THE TEARLING BY ERIKA JOHANSEN

queen-of-the-tearling

This cover is subtly striking with the dark background and golden elements highlighting the foreground.

THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR BY NICOLA YOON

sun-is-also-a-star

This is an amazing cover thats main appeal is the colours. The way the colours interconnect makes the cover beautiful.

What did you think of this different take on a cover topic?

Keep Calm and Read On,
