The concept of this is that every Thursday there is a theme and the bloggers who participate in this group take that theme and pick a book that they associate with the theme. From this the bloggers find and post different covers of the book they have chosen.
If you wish to know more or join in please feel free to have a look at their Goodreads Page.
The theme for this week is:
A book from a genre that you don’t read that often but loved anyway
The book I have chosen for this is:
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton
ORIGINAL COVER:
This is the Original U.S. cover.
COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (AUSTRALIA):
The Original Cover is the one from my country.
FAVOURITE COVERS:
*The first cover is the Romanian edition. This is a slight variation on the Original edition. I love the single gold feather on a blue backdrop. It is simplistic and stunning.
*The second cover is the Italian edition. The golden feathers are present again on this cover. Except this time there is a girl sitting in grass. This is again a simplistic cover which I am loving for this book.
*The third cover is the Original U.S. edition. The detail in the feather on this cover is amazing. I love the cover.
LEAST FAVOURITE COVERS:
*The first cover is the Chinese edition. While is is a lovely cover and the wings are linked to the content of the book, when compared to other editions of this book it pales.
*The second cover is the French edition. In this cover you can hardly even make out the wings. The book could be about anything.
As always, I am happy to talk to anyone about this weeks theme and the chosen covers. I will be back next Thursday for another Book Travelling Thursdays Post.
Keep Calm and Read On,
Kati
