Around-The-World-A-Thon is a readathon focused on reading from different areas of the world. This readathon is hosted by April from Aprillus Maximus and  Kristi from Melbourne on my Mind. This is the second instalment of Around-the-World-A-Thon and will be focusing on “North Asia”.

The main idea is to read books that are set in or written by authors from the following countries: China, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Mongolia, Nepal, Bhutan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The readathon is occurring from the 15th to the 21st of May.

I have done a little bit of research and think I have come up with a list of books that I will try to read.

In Order To Live by Yeonmi Park

Seven Days of You by Cecelia Vinesse

A Dream of Lights by Kerry Drewery

The Walled City by Ryan Graudin

Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout

hello i love you

The next two books aren’t based in these countries but have Korean-American protagonists. I am unsure if this is bending the rules. If they are allowed I will try to get to them too, if not I will discard them as options.

Gilded by Christina Farley

In Real Life by Lawrence Tabak

I’m really interested in this readathon as it is something different and focusing on different countries. What do you think?

Keep Calm and Read On,
