BLURB:

Love. Lies. Murder. A lot can happen… COME SUNDOWN

Bodine Longbow loves to rise with the dawn. As the manager of her family’s resort in Western Montana, there just aren’t enough hours in the day – for life, for work, for loved ones. She certainly doesn’t have time for love, not even in the gorgeous shape of her childhood crush Callen Skinner, all grown up and returned to the ranch. Then again, maybe Callen can change her mind, given time…

But when a young woman’s body is discovered on resort land, everything changes. Callen falls under the suspicion of a deputy sheriff with a grudge. And for Bodine’s family, the murder is a shocking reminder of an old loss. Twenty-five years ago, Bodine’s Aunt Alice vanished, never to be heard of again. Could this new tragedy be connected to Alice’s mysterious disappearance?

As events take a dramatic and deadly turn, Bodine and Callen must race to uncover the truth – before the sun sets on their future together.

REVIEW:

Wow, Nora Roberts sure knows how to open a book. . After only reading the prologue and I’m was hooked. With a flashback to 1991 when Alice Bodine was kidnapped while hitchhiking home. Nora Roberts has cemented herself as an auto-buy author and this book just confirms my decision.

This is a slow-build suspense novel interwoven with romantic tension. This is a great novel which delivers what Nora Roberts is known for, Romantic Suspense, stunning characters, and an edge of your seat plot.

The family dynamics in this book are on point. The Bodine-Longbow family are an example of a supportive and loving family. They run the family resort together and are a tight knit team. Things are thrown into array when Aunt Alice returns after disappearing for 26 years.

There are a multitude of characters in this book and it would be very easy to get lost in the vastness of the interweaving storylines. The pacing did slow at times to encompass all of the characters, but that added to the drama of the overall story.

Nora Robert’s has done it again with superb characters and an engaging suspenseful plot that had me on the edge of my seat needing to know how everything concluded. Roberts’s is the Queen of Suspense.
