Gin Autry must finish the last semester of high school in eclectic Austin with her hippie grandmother while Gin’s brother waits for heart surgery in Houston.

A YA novel following a young girl, Gin who is following her dreams. Gin has many issues regarding her family and the outcomes of her dreams. This coming-of-age story is full of wonderful characters and a sweet storyline that was both weird and wonderful. The book was a little slow in pace sometimes but it was enjoyable. This is a fun Young Adult novel with quirky family dynamics focusing on a young girl and her dreams.
