REVIEW: 

 

In a new take on werewolf mythology Adrianna must battle it out to become the Queen of the pack. With tension and drama this was a fun, engaging and quick read. This book was incredibly fast and I felt as though I didn’t really have time to fully encompass myself in the plot. Adrianna is a strong and wilful character who does not need a man to define her. Overall, a good start to a new werewolf series, hopefully I will be able to fully engage in the future books in the series.

UNBOXING: AUGUST 2017 NERDY POST BOX

 

 

Nerdy Post Box is a new subscription box I have come across and figured I would give it a go. This is a monthly subscription box based out of the U.S. There is a theme each month and inside the box is different artworks and items that relate to this theme. There is no book in this box. The theme for August 2017 was:

Each month there are these colouring in post cards included in the box. The art on the cards are exclusive to the box.

 

 

The first item is a vibrant art print poster featuring a quote from Ginny Weasley about her brothers Fred and George.

 

 

This double sided bookmark is the second item in the box and is a nod to Ron and Hermione.

 

 

The third item in the box is a Fat Double Sided Bookmark. The first side is a nod to the four marauders and the second a nod to Hagrid.

 

 

This stunning art print is the fourth item in the box featuring a quote from Sirius Black.

 

The fifth item is a sticker featuring a trio of side characters from the series… Luna, Neville, and Ginny.

 

I am just in love with this adorable notebook that was the sixth item in the box. I am sure to use it to jot down all my magical notes.

 

The seventh item is this beautiful necklace featuring all the spell books a young witch or wizard could need.

 

 

The eighth and final item in the box is a T’Shirt that I am in love with featuring a quote from Snape.

 

 

 

This was an amazing box. I loved the variety of quotes and items in the box and will be using the T’Shirt often.

REVIEW: UNDENIABLE ATTRACTION

REVIEW: 

 

This contemporary romance really had everything I could have wanted… a slow burn romance, drama, action, and engaging characters that drew me into their world and had me caring deeply about them. This was a book I will not be forgetting in the near future.

Ivy is a smart and sassy main character that knows what she wants and is not afraid to go about getting it. Things are moved up when she garners the attention of a stalker. Gabe is a troubled character who is thrown for a turn with Ivy. He is protective and will ensure Ivy’s safety at any cost. Their slow burn romance partnered with the drama of having a stalker had me turning the pages and finishing this book in just one sitting.

The side characters were just a bonus to the plot and I am extraordinarily invested in how things progress for them. Without giving anything away… there is a tearjerking moment that had me so emotional (and I don’t generally cry during books).

Overall, an action packed and dramatic contemporary romance that I just had to complete in one sitting. These characters are amazing and I will be reading more in this series.

REVIEW: 

 

 

This new take on witches in a YA fantasy setting was entertaining for a lighthearted read. In the essence of previous YA novels this is a fun book that was good for reminiscing. There was an element of “info-dump” at the beginning of the book that left me a little off-kilter. Alex and Ethan were intriguing characters that developed through the novel. However, their likability was in question for me. Overall, an interesting concept with some parts done really well.

REVIEW: 

 

With a four year time jump between books Gigi is now a designer and is possibly going to design the wedding dress of the future Queen of England. Unfortunately, her love life is not going so well. This sets off another fun and entertaining instalment in The Campfire Series.

It was really easy to reengage with Gigi and her life even after the huge time jump between books. The plot was funny and engaging, just like the first book in the series. Jamie was a great friend for Gigi and I particularly loved his character. I loved the “Hamilton”-esque style musical that was referenced for Perry’s career. There is just so much to love.

Overall, this was a great continuation to a brilliant, light narrative. I don’t know how I’m going to manage to wait for book three.

She’s a native New Yorker who loves anything Broadway, rom-coms, her daughter Hadley, and a good maxi dress. She was introduced to her husband through a friend she met at sleepaway camp and considers the eight summers she spent there to be some of the most formative of her life. One S’more Summer is Beth’s debut novel.
