I just happened across this awesome tag that 5 lovely ladies are doing for “Summer of Sailor Scouts”. Each week the girls are going to put together a different post linked to the “Summer of Sailor Scouts”, starting with the Sailor Moon Book Tag. I am considering whether to unofficially join in.
The Links to each of the Hosts blogs are below:
Moon: A book that makes you hungry
Hungry for You by Lynsay Sands
One of the characters in this book is a chef while the other owns a restaurant. This book definitely makes me want to go to their restaurant.
Mercury: A book that features science and technology
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
I cannot go past Illuminae for this question. It is a futuristic book and there is so much technology in it.
Venus: A book that makes you want to play video games
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
I love the futuristic world in this book as well as the fairytale retelling. I think it you,d be awesome as a video game.
Mars: A book inspired by mythology or folklore
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
When I think of mythology the first book that flashes to mind is this one. It is teaming with Greek Mythology.
Jupiter: A book that gave you strong feelings
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Adhieh
This book gave me all the feels.
Saturn: A post apocalyptic book you love
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The world in this book is post-apocalyptic and so very terrifying, can you imagine being a teen and in that arena?
Pluto: A time travel book
Ruby Red by Kirsten Gier
I’ve read this book not so long ago and I love the time travel element in it.
Uranus: A book featuring elemental magic
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
This book features three types of vampires. The Moiroi have powers over the individual elements.
Neptune: A book featuring music
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
I loved how the music brought the two main protagonists together.
Tuxedo Mask: A book with masquerades or hidden identities
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
There is masquerade scene in this book that is so good. Not to mention that almost every character has hidden agendas.
Rini/Chibi Moon: A favourite middle grade book
Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda
Right now I am just about to re-read this series but I remember simply loving it as a child.
Luna, Artemis & Diana: A book for animal lovers
Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya
I am choosing a Manga for this one as Sailor Moon is a Manga and Anime and so is this. In Fruits Baskets their is a whole family who change into the animals of the Chinese Zodiac.
What did you think of this book tag? Should I continue with the “Summer of Sailor Scouts”?
Keep Calm and Read On,
Kati
