Amazing take on angels and demons from a debut author.
The plot of this book was fast paced and went from semi-contemporary at the beginning to paranormal by the conclusion of the book. This book packed a lot in and completed the urban-fantasy world building in a way reminiscent of The Mortal Instruments series. The characters themselves were flawed and well-rounded individuals. Julia was particularly driven and focused and this leant to a complete collapse of her world upon the discovery of this new paranormal world that she had unknowingly been a part of. This was a thoroughly enjoyable new urban fantasy book and an amazing commencement of a brand new series.

Cecelia Earl graduated with a degree in education and has been teaching ever since. She’s a wife, a mom of three boys, and an owner of a magical laundry pile that never stops growing.
