REVIEW:
I was genuinely intrigued by a paranormal novel based in Urban Australia. This meant I just had to read this book. I really liked Riley’s character. She is spunky and strong and a powerful female character. Through the book Riley’s character is cemented as a self-sufficient character who is interesting and empowering.
The concept of an organisation for the investigation of paranormal creatures was intriguing and added to be believability of the overall plot. I enjoyed the development of the different paranormal species and am genuinely interested in seeing how this will be developed upon in future novels. I loved Rhoan’s character. He added a family connection for Riley and diversity to this novel. I am rooting for Quinn and Riley and need to see how this relationship will develop through the series. This is a great beginning to a paranormal series based in Melbourne with a great plot and quick pace.
